DIY Paint Party Decorations

This part of the project was fun and cheap.

Here’s what you need:

  • Old formula can
  • Pink piece construction paper
  • Box of crayons
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • 6 Recycled wine bottles
  • Acrylic paint (pink, purple, blue and green, each color has a dark and light tone)
  • Round sponge brush
  • Tissue paper
  • Mod podge

First project: Utincel Holder

Okay so here’s what you do take the formula can and hot glue the construction paper round it. Next, glue the crayons around the formula can.

Bam Utincel holder!

Project 2:

Table centerpieces: wine bottle vases

So these were simple as well, recycled wine bottles.

The bottles with the poka dots I just took Acrylic paint and a round sponge paint brush. Dabbed the brush in the paint and dabbed it on the wine bottle.

The center wine bottle is shredded tissue paper and Mod podge. All I did was put mod podge on the bottle with a paint brush and placed the shredded tissue paper on it and painted another layer of mod podge over the tissue paper and let dry.

Done! Beautiful centerpiece vases.

Paint Birthday Party

Hey all, so this week I have been working on putting together everything you need to host an awesome and messy paint party.

If you don’t know what to do its okay I got you.

First things first pick your theme…we did…it was a paint party. My daughter requested it actually.

Next was the date and time…check…

So what’s next you ask, well the invitations of course, we sent ours out via Facebook. Here’s a big thing when you decide to throw a paint party stress to the guests to bring extra clothes for the little ones as well as yourself. It is dirty, messy and will probably stain.

And don’t forgive to inform your guest of the menu on the invitations as well as what the Birthday Baby wants or needs.

So invitations are out… Now, it’s decorating time…so where are you gonna go… Pinterest of course.

Now that you’ve gathered some ideas, go shopping.

The first thing I got was:

  • Acrylic paint… a lot of it and different colors
  • 5Ɨ7 canvases…walmart sells 3 packs for $2 you need one for each child
  • Paint brushes
  • Blue painters tape
  • 2 large wall canvases
  • Balloons… a rainbow of colors
  • Streamers… a rainbow of colors
  • Recycled wine bottles
  • Old records
  • 2 Mini chalkboards
  • Recycled formula can
  • Crayons
  • Paper goods and utincels…a rainbow of colors

Okay so that’s the basics for the party which includes decorations and play time for the young ones.

It’s gonna be great…

DIY Monster Pom PomĀ

Hey all, tonight I’m working hard finishing decorations for the party tomorrow and well it’s time to share.

Tonight I started with the Pom Pom table decoration that will go on the food table tomorrow.

So here’s what you need…

Supplies:

  • Tissue paper
  • 3 different size googly eyes
  • Zip tie or colored piping
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and sticks
  • Construction paper
  • Colored cotton balls

Step one: fold the tissue paper

Step 2: tie the piping in the middle of the folded tissue paper. Then cut each end to make it fray. Then pull each piece of tissue paper apart.

Step 3: take one piping stick and your colored Pom ball, hot glue the Pom ball to each end if the piping and twist the center making them look like antennas. Then glue it to the top of the tissue paper, hot glue the eyes in the center. Cut out teeth with the white printer paper, next glue the teeth to a piping stick. Then place them in the tissue paper more towards the bottom. Like so…

Simple, cute and cheap. Idk about you momma bear but that’s my favorite style. I’m a poor mom but, I can put on a cheap party.

Next up, table top monster decoration and monster utensil holder.

DIY Monster Banner

Hey all, so for a monster themed Birthday party for a 2 year old. I decided to get creative for the monster bash.

Pinterest was a lot of help too.

I started with the banner.

Supplies:

  • Colored construction paper (specifically blue, green, yellow, orange, white and black.)
  • Googly eyes (large and medium)
  • A pen
  • Black alphabet stickers
  • Elmers glue
  • Hot glue
  • Rainbow yarn
  • Small circle stencil

Step 1: draw out triangles on the blue and green papers. Depending on what you want it to say will depend on how many you want. Mine says “I am Two”

Step 2: cut out the triangles and set them aside. Then grab 2 pieces of yellow and two pieces of orange construction paper. Get a small glass to trace, I used the rim of a shot glass and traced about 10 of each color and cut them out.

Step 3: after your triangles and circles are cut out glue the circles to the triangles in desired spot. And let dry… after drying is done trim up the sides so there’s no hang over of circles.

Step 4: next I placed the letters in the desired spot and in between each word I placed a Googly eye.

Step 5: then hot glue your triangles to yarn.

BAM! Your all done.
Now you have a cute and cheap banner for your babies monster bash.

Neat right!

Stay tuned, next I will show you how to make a cheap napkin holder for your babies monster bash.

DIY Monster Bash Birthday Party

Hey viewers,

My son’s birthday is November 11 and we are having his party on the 13th so I thought I’d let every one join on my adventure in creating his 2nd Birthday Party.

Well, after a lot pinterest research I desided to do a monster bash themed party for my lil monster. After all he is always walking around growling at people.

Then I desided on the menu which is going to be cake, ice cream, and some side treats.

Then I made up the invitations on facebook and sent them out. I informed our guest that we were only having cake, ice cream and some side treats and told them the theme and what my son needed for the up coming winter months and then in formed them that there would a piƱata and pin the eye on the monster.

The plan is set…

Now it’s shopping time, which was actually yesterday.

I went to Wal-Mart in the party supply section and purchased:

  • Light blue, green, yellow, and orange streamers
  • Pack of construction paper
  • Googly eyes (big and small sizes)
  • A number 2 light up birthday candle
  • Medium size alphabet stickers (black)
  • Elmers glue
  • Glue sticks
  • Tooth picks
  • Variety pack of colored balloons (50 count)
  • Blue and green tissue paper
  • Bread ties
  • 2 different size boxes (free)
  • Green wrapping paper

I spent about $50.00 on everything and this covers all the decorations.

Tomorrow I will take you step by step on how to make a Monster Bash Banner by hand. So stay tuned for upcoming Monster Bash Birthday Party blogs this week.
